Congratulations.....you are now the proud owner of a puppy, a new and exciting addition to your family. Hopefully when you were researching the perfect dog for you, you also researched your dog's coat type and grooming requirements. But don't worry if you're not sure? I am here to help and advise you.

Firstly, 2 weeks after your puppy has had his or her vaccinations, book in for their first puppy groom! The earlier the better; there are lots of sounds, and sensory experiences for your new puppy to get used too.

 

Your puppy will need to get used to these experiences from a young age, this way you are giving your puppy the best start to a life time of contented grooming.

 

They're many coat types. Some coat types require a lot of grooming and maintenance. If you don't brush your puppy until he or she is 6 months old, your puppy will very probably have a matted coat. This can be easily avoided. I'm here to help.
